Monday Cell Prayer Meeting, Trust in God for your protection, Love thy enemies

OHS Cell, held Monday prayer meeting and fellowship. Brother Thomson led the sharing of the word of God, encouraging the members to defeat their enemies through the power of God and love.

From 2 Kings 6:8-23, brother Thomson shared that,  the king of Abram was at war with Israel. He set plans to trap the king of Israel but many times but many times they failed as well bringing comotion in the camp of Assyrian King. Asking his official, "tell me, which of us is on the side of the king of Israel?" but they all said "none of us, my lord the king". Till one of the officials said, "but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of the very words you speak in your bedroom".

Explaining, he said, "nothing is hidden from God. There is nothing that the evil one can plan against you that the Lord God almighty does not know", he said. At that time the king sent for him to be captured. sending Chariots. For God was with Elisha. When his servant saw and asked, 'oh my Lord, what shall we do?", "then Elisha told him not to be afraid for those who are with us are more than those who are with them, then he prayed and asked God to open the eyes of the servant so that he can see", "after the lord opened the eyes of the servant, they saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha".

"Elisha then prayed and they all went blind". "Then Elisha told them that this is not the road and this is not the city, follow me, and I will lead you to the man you are looking for". "After the men followed hoping to find the man but they all were led to the city of Samaria", he explained.

"As Christians, many enemies have surrounded us but we need not to be afraid, for we are under the protection of God, Psalms 91 tells us about the protection that comes from God if only we can trust in his power", "if we go back to the scripture, the enemies that were taken to the king of Israel would have been easily killed but Elisha told the king to give them something to eat and drink", "the same is for us, the bible tells us to love our enemies, if they are hungry we need to give them something to eat and if they are thirsty we need to give them something to drink and by doing this you will be showing love

This is a fullfilment of what the Bible says in the book of Matthew 5:43-48 to love our enemies and to pray for those who persecute us that we may be children of God" he shared.
