YEF Zambia Revives Online Evangelism Despite "Stay in Place" Order

The Youth Evangelical Fellowship (YEF) Zambia chapter takes advantage of the corona pandemic lockdown to spread the gospel to many young people with the aim of bridging the gap between them and God.

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused many people to abstain from many gatherings including Church, which is making people drift even further away from God even more. Recently in Zambia, the government has declared a nationwide "Stay in place" for twenty-one days. Despite the pandemic and the lockdown in Zambia, YEF Zambia has put in place even more active online evangelism with the aim of finding bible study students.

The YEF Zambia team held a meeting to discuss strategies for online evangelism, as well as encourage each other to not be deterred in their mission work.

"This is a very sad and scary time for everyone for if you are not infected then you are affected, this, however, is not time to sit and relax but it is time for us to stand on our vision of building the kingdom of God on earth with prayer", YEF Zambia Leader, Intern Pastor Joanna Mwepu shared.

She concluded after encouraging all the ministers in the gospel of Christ Jesus to not fix the eyes on the closed door but to open their eyes to see the newly opened door, "The bible says that if one door closes then another opens. Public gatherings are restricted in many parts of the world but I have met many young people who are really thirsty for the gospel of God through online evangelism therefore I believe this is the new door that God has opened for the world mission".

YEF Zambia hopes to use this opportunity to reach out to many more thirsty souls and unite them with God through Bible studies and fellowship.
